PER/USE at Biennale Interieur 2016 in Kortrijk

From 14 to 23 October 2016, PER/USE presents some new additions to its growing collection at the special 25th Silver edition of the Biennale Interieur exhibition in Kortrijk, Belgium. Visit us at Hall 3, stand 314.

PER/USE stays anchored in Kortrijk, a region that has a long history of fine furniture design and production. PER/USE is rooted in this legacy while reaching out also for the future. Therefore PER/USE is expanding the design portfolio with outdoor versions of two of its classic designs: the PIANO coat hanger and the PRELUDE bench. The PIANO has become a contemporary classic featured in many design publications and a best-selling item in top design shops all around the world. Based on repeated customers´ requests PER/USE has developed now a new outdoors version of the PIANO coat hanger in teak wood. This durable material ages beautifully on exposure to outdoor conditions.
PER/USE takes great pride in working together with Belgian design talents. The PRELUDE bench was exhibited for the first time last January 2016 at IMM Cologne fair where it was received with a lot of praise. This bench was originally designed by Caroline Voet for the arts centre DeSingel in Antwerp, Belgium. Its elegant line captivated us, so the designer developed a stand-alone version, independent of its original context.
PER/USE will be exhibiting also a new accessory developed by Joana Marcelino, a successful Portuguese architect with a passion for developing products with a strong identity. Joana has developed the DO IT mirror which encompasses all what PER/USE stands for: usability, top quality natural materials and an ingenious and innovative system. DO IT is a wall mounted mirror with two overlapping disks in glass and marble. Thanks to the click and hanging system, the marble disk can be rotated and fixed at different heights.
